Derek, the founder of intellectual property (IP) and innovation consultancies, ProspectIP UK and ProspectIP Africa, has worked in academia and industry and is a proven IP and innovation practitioner with over 20 year's experience in all aspects of IP management relevant to corporates, large enterprises, SMEs and research organisations. Derek holds non-executive directorships in technology companies and is a honorary professor in intellectual property at Nottingham Trent University, UK and a visiting fellow at Gloucestershire University Business School, UK.

Isaac is the Director of the Centre for Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law (CIPIT) at Strathmore Law School, Nairobi Kenya and an experienced Patent Attorney. He holds a PhD in chemistry from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and a JD from Santa Clara University School of Law. Isaac is also a director of the Kenya Copyright Board (KECOBO).

Henry is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over twenty years of experience in practice and academia, where his areas of expertise include intellectual property law, regional integration and international trade law. He holds a PhD in international trade law from the University of Melbourne as well as Master of Laws degrees from Temple University in the US and the University of Melbourne. His Bachelor of Laws degree is from the University of Nairobi.
He served as the Managing Director of the Kenya Industrial Property Institute (KIPI) for a period of three years, and has also sat on the boards of the Kenya Copyright Board and the Anti-Counterfeit Agency.

Mr. Sylvance Sange is the Managing Director of Kenya Industrial Property Institute (KIPI). He has been in the IP field for the last 22 years and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and a Bachelor of Laws degree both from the University of Nairobi. He has a Master’s of Intellectual Property degree from Franklin Pierce Law Center, in Concord, New Hampshire, USA.
